Red Rock Mining currently holds:
1 operating license in the Ouarzazate region (Idelsan).
30+ exploration permits distributed across the Souss-Massa, Guelmim Oued Noun, and Drâa-Tafilalet regions.
From a geological standpoint, these permits cover the main inliers of the Anti-Atlas range (Siroua, Ighrem, Kerdous, Tagragra d’Akka, Bas Drâa).
This mountain chain, composed of Precambrian terrains overlain by Paleozoic series, is one of Morocco’s major metallogenic zones, concentrating nearly 80% of the country’s mining deposits, excluding phosphates.
The diversity of resources and the strong copper potential make the Anti-Atlas a priority area for exploration, which explains Red Rock Mining’s strategic focus on this region.
Located near Ouarzazate, Idelsan is Red Rock Mining’s flagship project.
Key figures:
10-year operating license (granted in 2021).
1 million tons of ore already identified (average grade: 1% Cu).
Potential of over 10 million tons thanks to new exploration zones.
24 drillings completed and comprehensive geophysical studies conducted.
Roadmap:
Resource certification: 2025
Construction of the processing plant (600 t/day, expandable to 1,000 t/day): 2026
Start of copper concentrate production: 2027
